BSL-3 and BSL-4 Certification
Since 1971, ENV has been a leader in providing
certification of contamination control equipment services to our customers.
ENV has been providing consulting and certification services for Biosafety
Level 3 (BSL-3) and Biosafety Level 4(BSL-4) Laboratories, since our inception.
ENV can assist in the design stage, by reviewing all drawings and specifications,
to determine if the design criteria of BSL-3 or BSL-4 laboratories meet
with the specifications set forth by the CDC-NIH Biosafety in Microbiological
and Biomedical Laboratories (BMBL) or the ARS Facilities Design Standards
242.1-ARS.
Additionally, ENV can provide final certification of your BSL-3 or BSL-4 Laboratory to the BMBL (or owner) specifications. During certification, we will examine the following areas, to determine if they meet the appropriate requirements:
- Access control
- Equipment certification
- Appropriate Signage
- Facility Design and Testing
- Pressure Decay Testing
- Ventilation Design and Testing
- HVAC control Testing
- Effluent System Testing
- Autoclave Validation
